I saw this wonderful set on BPS and immediately thought teal. I really like how this turned out, too.

Wishing You Were A Ghost

I got the idea today to slap Bright Eyes' lyrics onto Aikea's 2 tile wall writing mesh. So here we are:

Google for help searching for the fonts used (fonts used are: Administrator Password, Bear Paw, Crazy Killer, and Dark Theater. I may or may not have used all of these, but these are the ones I downloaded :P)

Things you might want to know:

-The file names are labeled with the song name the lyrics come from in parentheses. For the song "Sunrise, Sunset," they are numbered in the order they appear in the song. If you'd like to further know where each lyric comes from, just leave a comment :).

-The mesh is NOT included. But I'm sure most of you already have it.

Close Your Eyes - Full Moon Sideboard new mesh

So, if you frequent GoS, you may already know of the project I was working on. The sideboard/light based on this piece here.

What got me was the mapping, and then the footprint (but that just needed a fresh brain, actually). I will recolor this with a picture of a sun, too, just not now :P.

Tired and Uninspired Chair Recolors

Finally, these stupid chairs are done. I de-pillowed Anna's Shabby Dining Chair, repositoried it to the original, and recolored it with Aelia colors. Whew. I'll work on the stools later, but I will do them.

Like I said, Anna's original chair is the master, the one without the pillow is the slave. Can you tell I'm sick of them? I had soo many problems with them :P. Also, I did not take a picture of all the chairs without pillows, because you can easily see what it'd look like, just imagine the chair without the pillow :P.

Edit because I am stupid: The credits for these are obviously Anna, for the original mesh. I believe it was Anna. It said that in the file and stuff. Anyway, I also used Aelia's colors, Google for textures, Deviantart for textures, and various other sources around the net for the remainder of textures. If you really would like to know where I got a certain pattern, just ask and I'll see if I can find it again, as I have most of them saved in my computer :).

I did nothing to the frame of the chair, just colored it with Aelia's colors.

Projects and ramblings

Hello everybody! I just wanted to post something quick saying that I do have projects planned and am currently trying to figure one out right now. I won't say which chair (because I want it to be a surprise yadda yadda), but I'm recoloring a chair and I edited the mesh of it, but right now the SimPe registration is down (to register for new GUIDs), so I can't register it as a new GUID and it overrides the original. I want to do the repository technique on the two, too, and it was going just fine, of course besides the fact that the new chair overrides the original. Psychosim has offered to share his login with me, because he rarely uses it, so hopefully that offer still stands or something can happen where I can make a new GUID for the chair. I know how you all love to mix and match chairs, so I figured you'd like the original chair without the pillow and it'd be a great time to learn to repository technique :). So keep your eye out for those to pop up. They'll either pop up with or without the new chair edit and the repository technique :P.

Other projects include:
-a sweatshirt I'd like to add patterns to
-getting pictures of underwear I recolored
-learning how to switch out the shoes on a mesh (I finished the first unimesh tutorial, but have yet to start the second, and the third is the one that teaches how to switch shoes :P)
-further learn to mesh (besides removing things from meshes :P)
-those henley dresses once I learn how to switch out the shoes (or I'll just need to mess with the alpha, if anyone would rather have flats than converses. Just let me know in the comments? I was also planning on doing stompy boots)
-a couple different furniture recolors/mesh edits I'd like to do

If you'd like to request something, too, even if it's just a copy-pasta sorta thing, just leave a comment or message me or something :).

Now, for what's happening in my game.. Nothing. Nothing, because I have been organizing my downloads folder, and after I do that, I'm going to play a clean neighborhood, with no EAxis townies. I'm going to make my own/use the lovely sims created by other people for my townies. I wasn't going to do this before, but I figured I would. So I need the wardrobe wrangler, so I can towniefy everything :P. Then after that's all done, I'll finally get to play :P.

Anyway, that should be enough ramblings. I'm not even sure if anyone would actually read this :P.

Cosette's "Exercise Book" Walls in Aelia Colors

Sorry for the utterly crappy picture, but this is the color "Yellow Green," but it looks different and much better in game, I promise. I just had to mess with the brightness/contrast so the image didn't look like shit :).

Stairs To Heaven

Today, I recolored simlogical's amazing half-landing stairs in Aelia and Pooklet colors (whew!). I have put each set into a different folder if you only want the Aelia colors or only want the Pooklet colors. This is why I have used ALL of the colors, no matter how similar. The download has been compressorized. Please let me know if there are any problems.

I extremely apologize for no swatch preview (I was going to do one, I really was!), but I didn't think about it until AFTER I had done ALL the colors and I couldn't sort out which colors were which. I will do it next time though :).

Also, I WILL still be doing the henleys, I just haven't really had the motivation to mess with them. I apologize for not being around yesterday, I hung out with my boyfriend all day and didn't have time for The Sims 2. I will TRY to work on the henleys tomorrow (hopefully I will actually succeed :P).

I believe I want to start my own neighborhood. Of course it'll be filled with slightly worn/fully worn, rusty, brightly colored objects. I'd like to kinda do a "west side, east side" type deal, where the poorer folk live on one side of the town and the richer on the other. And of course the extremely rich in their own little corner :P. Hopefully I'll get the energy up to work on that and I'll take pictures for you all :). Okay, that is all.

You're A Canary - Part Two

Here is the second part of the set: pooklet'd cages for your pooklet'd canaries :). The mesh is included and is by the lovely Jope.

I also gave the cage a slight rusty texture, but it doesn't look too rusty, so you can use it in your clean homes too.

Also, do you like when I set up a picture like I did for this upload, or would you prefer me to take pictures of all the recolors? I could also do a preview picture in the post and a picture of all the recolors in the folor? Pretty much everyone knows what the Pooklet colors are, but it would be useful to just see all of them and when I do non-Pooklet recolors. Just let me know :).

And don't worry (if you were heh), I haven't stopped my henley dress project. I will be doing that tomorrow, most likely. I was getting some help at GoS for changing out the shoes on the mesh (I actually was going to use a different mesh for the dress, but changed it), so hopefully I'll be able to upload the finished product with new shoes? We'll see :). Hope you all are well and having fun!

You're A Canary - Part One

Today, I Pooklet'd nemestnaya's canary bird from her Petit Paris set. This does not include Pooklet's color Nuclear, though, as that was too close to the original, so I thought I'd leave that out. I also Pooklet'd Gromit's skeleton on a stand, but I don't think that's recolorable because the recolors didn't show up in my game. Argh.

This is part one of the set. Part two will come tomorrow so look out for those.

I think it's alright to include the mesh, so mesh is included. Enjoy!

Horse Of A Different Color - Pooklet'd horses

Here is a gigantuan set of Pooklet'd horses. Of course, I luckily didn't have to recolor all of them because they're slaved to the mesh. But anyway, get the meshes here and here. Only the foal is needed for the second link.

For the screenshots, I will only show "The Only Horse You Will Ever Need"

On the middle horse recolor, first row (towards the text), I have fixed where it wasn't transparent, but I have not updated the picture. So, don't fret :).

So, I was thinking that I didn't have any post or anything stating a policy, so I decided I would put one in. I will make it shorter than the one I posted on my Livejournal, because that one looked like I had this super long complex policy (kinda).

Bottom line: Don't upload to a paysite or the Exchange and don't claim as your own. You can include with houses and if I ever make meshes, you may include them in any recolors. If you're not sure on something, just ask, but I bet it's perfectly fine.
